How to use the Alternates :
Windows :
• Go to Finder (start menu) and search for ‘Character Map’
• Open the Character map and choose the designed font.
• Check ‘advanced view’
• Select ‘Unicode Subrange’
• Select ‘Private Use Characters’
Now click select and copy the glyph of your choice and paste it into your program. ( Word, Publisher, Cricut, Silhouette, etc.)
Mac
• Open the Font Book and choose the desired font
• switch to ‘repertoire view’, which is the little icon at the top left with the grid/dots or click on
‘view’ ‘repertoire’. to see all glyphs
