Satoshi is a modern Swiss‑style sans serif font family. It blends smooth curves with sharp angles. The family offers five weights, from Light to Black. This makes it ideal for branding, editorial layouts, and posters.
By default, its lowercase “a” and “g” use double‑story forms. You can switch to single‑story versions via an OpenType feature. Each weight also includes 10 ligatures plus alternate “G” and “t” shapes.
Its default numerals are proportional lining figures. You also get tabular lining figures and dedicated numerators and denominators for fractions. The lining figures match the height of uppercase letters, while lowercase ascenders rise slightly above them.
Beyond letters and numbers, Satoshi packs in extra glyphs: ten directional arrows, six geometric shapes (circles, squares, triangles), a peace sign, a smiley‑face emoji, and a check mark. It even offers two styles of circled numbers from 1 to 9.
Satoshi was designed by Deni Anggara, an Indonesian type designer based in Medan. This careful attention to detail and range of features makes Satoshi a versatile choice for any project that needs both clarity and character.
